Ark Travel Guide [ENG]

Info about playing in a Cluster

You should create only one character and if you want to play on another map, travel to the map you want to play on with that same character. You can keep everything you want to take with you in your inventory (except for tributes [Rex arms, etc.] and Element – those can only be transferred in the endgame section).

On the other map, simply spawn with your character, create a new tribe and build a base. Whenever you travel to a different map, you’ll need to create a new tribe there.

You can travel between the following maps normally via supply drops/cave drops and obelisks:

  • Scorched Earth
  • The Center
  • Ragnarok
  • Valguero
  • Astraeos

Aberration

From Aberration, you can travel via cave drops or charge nodes.
It is also possible to travel using the three obelisks, but they are located on the surface, can only be reached at certain times of day and are guarded by Reaper Kings.

Extinction

From Extinction, you can travel using the City Terminals scattered across the map. You can find them in the Sanctuary (the large city in the center), as well as in the Ice and Desert Domes — although some in the ice area are broken.
It is also possible to travel using the harder-to-reach terminals which are used to spawn the four Titans, as well as via cave drops in the respective artifact caves.
The obelisks on Extinction do not have a travel terminal.

Lost Colony

From Lost Colony, you can travel via City Terminals, the vaults from the defense missions or cave drops.

Marktmap

The Market map has special obelisks that are also marked on the map.

Astraeos

The obelisks and air drops on Astraeos have a unique appearance.

Additional options

Alternatively, you can build a travel terminal in your base:
either the RR Travel Terminal or a TEK Transmitter.
